“RATTLESNAKE SHAKE”
RICK VITO 2005

This is the brand new re-mixed and re-mastered U.S. version with alternate takes and different songs than the German Hypertension Music import. Very much a slide-guitar bluesy CD featuring Rick's great touring band, The Lucky Devils (Charlie Harrison, bass, and Rick Reed, drums) Contains 11 tracks, 8 originals, plus great new version of the Peter Green-penned title track, and an instrumental take on Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come," that is not to be missed! Other highlights include the gospel-tinged, "Going To Las Vegas," and " I Do Believe," along with the deep blues of such cuts as "My Baby's Hot," "Slide The Blues," and " The Lucky Devil." This one is a sure-fire pleaser for all guitar blues and roots-rock music fans!

“BAND BOX BOOGIE”
RICK VITO 2003

“BAND BOX BOOGIE” is a collection of 13 great songs, all done in a style which blends rock & roll, jump blues, swing, and even Latin!. Included here are ten original Vito compositions which are some of his most compelling to date. Rick also performs songs from L.A. hipster Preston Smith, England's Big Town Playboys, and one from his favorite swing vocal groups from the 1930's, The Spirits of Rhythm. Each cut on the CD features the dazzling saxophone work of Jim Hoke, who layered both tenor and baritone sax to create a unique small horn section sound which stands apart from a typical "big band" approach. Drummers Ian Wallace (El Rayo X, Bob Dylan), Rick Reed (Amazing Rhythm Aces), and Greg Thomas (Thunderbyrd), all make their mark in tandem with the rocking acoustic bass of "Big" Dave Roe (Johnny Cash), Glen Worf (Mark Knofler), Peter Feiberger, and Lee Hendricks.
Many concert favorites are included here such as long-awaited "BLUES TOWN," the cool-rockin' "LITTLE SHEBA," "LAST CHANCE TO MAMBO," and Rick’s tribute to America's favorite 50's pinup girl in, "WHERE DID YOU GO BETTIE PAGE."
Mick Fleetwood rates this CD among his favorites of all time and has this to say:
“A total pleasure...absolutely incredible, impeccable, and soulful. Rick nailed some very serious stuff here. I love the album!”

“CRAZY COOL”
RICK VITO 2002

Stylistically speaking, “CRAZY COOL,” Rick’s third CD for the Hypertension Music label, is a perfect follow-up to his earlier work. Continuing in the cool bluesy vein he favors so well, Rick offers here yet another great serving of tasteful slide guitar dominated “rhythm rock.”
Included are solid treatments of John Lee Hooker’s “MR. LUCKY” (to whom Rick offers a cd tribute), B.B. King’s “GOING HOME,” and a host of inspired Vito originals like the rocking “MONEY & LOVE,” gospely “LOVE IS DANGEROUS,” and the rockabilly title track, “CRAZY COOLl.” Produced by Rick, “CRAZY COOL” features Ian Wallace on drums, Elmo Washington on bass, and Mark T. Jordan on keyboards as well as appearances by Bob Glaub, Gary Mallaber, and super doo-woppers, the Metropolitans. This one is sure to please!

"LUCKY DEVILS"
RICK VITO 2001

“LUCKY DEVILS” is a bluesy collection of original songs with plenty of guitar work as always. The tunes are linked with a mysterious lyrical flavor in such titles as, "MEET ME AT MIDNITE", "LONG BLACK CAR", "VOODOO WOMAN", "RHUMBA DIABLO" and "EXOTICA BY NIGHT". Also included is the classic 1930’s “prison” song, "CARRY IT HOME TO ROSIE.” Many of the same musicians who played on Rick’s first two solo releases appear here again, plus performances by drummer Ian Wallace, saxman Jim Hoke, harmonicist Rick Valenti, and keyboard man Reese Wynans.
“LUCKY DEVILS”, is a particlar favorite of the legendary John Mayall, who wrote the following review:
“Before he joined Fleetwood Mac, Rick Vito proved himself to be a guitar mainstay in my bands of the 70's & 80's. He not only added his distinctive talents to many a world tour, but to four John mayall albums. Since those days as a sideman, he is at last getting the recognition as a bandleader/bluesman that is long overdue. His new album, Lucky Devils, is a fine collection of mostly self-penned songs that show off his considerable skills as a singer and guitarist of the first rank. I was knocked out by the fiery slide and lead guitar work throughout and by the band, whose strong support on each track, locks in like a well-oiled machine. Check out the funky down-home compositions like Bad Girl Blues, Meet Me at Midnite and World on Fire. Rock to the slick up-tempo grooves behind Let's Get It, Long Black Car and When the Big One Comes and the slinky instrumentals Exotica By Night, Rhumba Diablo and Bayou Goodbye that amply showcase his unique guitar artistry. You are listening to a master of his instrument so sit back and above all, enjoy it all!”
John Mayall, October 2001

Jordan (Bonnie Raitt). Rick's signature guitar and vocal treatment are featured in full force on each track of "PINK AND BLACK," and it's easy to hear why his style has been in such demand by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Bonnie Raitt, Bob Seger, John Mayall, Jackson Browne, Delbert McClinton, Roy Orbison, and many others!

"KING OF HEARTS"

Rick’s first solo album released in 1992 on Modern/Atlantic Records shortly after his departure from Fleetwood Mac. GUITAR PLAYER MAGAZINE hailed it as “...a stunning debut, featuring a fiery collection of slide guitar-driven tunes performed by a master!” A must for all Fleetwood Mac fans, it contains a smouldering duet with Rick’s former bandmate Stevie Nicks, on the soulful single, “Desiree.”
Standouts include the powerful “Knock Me Down,” “Honey Love,” and the rocking blues “I’ll Never Leave This Love Alive” and “Walk Another Mile.” Long out of print, we have found a small collection of these now rare cds, but when they’re gone, that’s it. Each cd is autographed by Rick!

“RICK VITO IN CONCERT”
RICK VITO & THE LUCKY DEVILS 2003

In April of 2001 Rick and his band The Lucky Devils ventured for the first time as a unit to Europe in support of his first Euro-CD, “LUCKY DEVILS,” released on the Hamburg based Hypertension Music label. Rick’s very first gig was a taping for Germany’s highly acclaimed and long running concert television show, “OHNE FILTER,” and it is this performance that is offered here. The best of the Ohne Filter shows were assembled and released late in 2003, and the quality of both the artists presented and the audio-visual recording is superb. Rick’s concert performance is surely one of the highlights of the series!
Featured on twelve blues-rocking selections, Rick and his band really cook on the high burners through numbers like, “STREAMLINER,” “WHEN THE BIG ONE COMES,” BLUES TOWN,” and “LITTLE SHEBA.” Not to be missed is Rick’s take on the Howling Wolf-Peter Green song, “ANOTHER WOMAN,” which really showcases his masterful skill on his pink and black art deco guitar. Featured with Rick are Tommy Kay (guitar), Jimmy DeJulio (drums), and Paul Eckman (bass), a tight unit that never lets up during the hour long showcase.

“GUITAR HEROES IN CONCERT,” couples one song (“LONG BLACK CAR”) from the same Rick Vito show along with exciting performances by legendary guitarists ALBERT COLLINS, GATEMOUTH BROWN, CURTIS MAYFIELD, ROBBEN FORD, DUKE ROBILLARD, and others. Both DVDs are released on the INAKUSTIC label.
